Jake & Emily's wedding

This weekend my cousin Jake got married, here in the Boise Temple. Everything turned out really nice, and it hit on a Saturday that Scott didn't have to work. So it was even better to enjoy wedding festivities without having to do a 2 year old and a newborn by myself. Can you guess what the wedding colors were?? The photographer had everyone jump, enthusiastically into the air...I must have snapped the picture either one second too slow, or one second too fast...hard to say. This is the only picture that I got of the happy couple...and you can't even see Jake. Luckily the weather was perfect, which is hard to do in June. The wedding was followed by a luncheon, followed by the outdoor reception. I think everyone, especially Jake and Emily, had a long day. But as to my knowledge, everything went seemingly smooth. Weddings are always fun because you get to be with family all day. The wedding was the day before Father's Day, I gave all my boys their gifts early....correct, boys, no one gets presents alone in this fam. I saw an add for a website called, thematchingtieguy.com...So I ordered them all matching ties.I think Scott and Spence would rather look at each other than at the camera:)

I can't keep up!!

I can't keep up on my postings, with all of the pictures that I keep taking. It seems like anytime I get a second to sit down and blog, something comes up. Today I have 2 problems: 1. Spencer took an hour to fall asleep for a nap, during that hour Parker took his nap..now Parker's awake and Spencer is asleep...so I'm typing fast while Parker is content. 2. My camera is in the car which my sister is borrowing..so I'll just post some of my pictures off of my phone. Parker is about 6 weeks old in this picture. He has been a lot of fun. Spencer can't be in the same room with him alone, because Parker will get mauled. Every time Spencer wants to talk to him he has to get about 1 centimeter away from his face...half the time they bash heads...I think that little siblings are pretty resistant.Spencer got to sleep by him long enough to take a picture, he is a crazy sleeper...I should know, he still sleeps between Scott and I. I don't mind though, I know that eventually he wouldn't be caught dead still sleeping in his parents room...so I know it won't be forever. Plus there's only so long that they actually want you to play with them, and hang with them, so I'm living it up. Scott is building the living quarters up at the Cascade Fire Station. Spencer loves to go to work with Dad.

Swimming

It seems like warm weather comes later and later each year. I remember when I was little, it was always warm enough to swim on the last day of school. This year it was ready to go June 14 (the day swimming lessons started). However, it still isn't terribly warm outside.
The kids loved playing in the pool while it was filling up. It takes 4-5 days to fill up with the hose; can't have much more fun than playing in hose water while it's about 60 degrees outside. Alex got a bad case of "swimmers toe" after this round of playing in the pool. Swimmers toe is when the bottom of the pool rubs off the pads of your toes...it burns, and bleeds, and Alex was a mess.

This was Spencer's first official swim of the season, he has pretty much picked up where he left off. He still loves the water wings, and can kick his way all around the pool.

Parker loved the water as well. It was a little cool outside, not completely comfortable, but he still loved it. He loves the bath tub, so I think the pool felt really good.
