The kids loved playing in the pool while it was filling up. It takes 4-5 days to fill up with the hose; can't have much more fun than playing in hose water while it's about 60 degrees outside. Alex got a bad case of "swimmers toe" after this round of playing in the pool. Swimmers toe is when the bottom of the pool rubs off the pads of your toes...it burns, and bleeds, and Alex was a mess.Wednesday, June 16, 2010
Swimming
It seems like warm weather comes later and later each year. I remember when I was little, it was always warm enough to swim on the last day of school. This year it was ready to go June 14 (the day swimming lessons started). However, it still isn't terribly warm outside.
